Principal's Welcome
Welcome to the 2024/2025 school year. Capo is a remarkable place where you can be yourself, find and pursue your interests, and have an amazing experience. I encourage you to take advantage of the experience, get involved and try new things; play a sport, join, or start a club, come to activities, and take classes that will challenge you. Getting involved is the key to making the most of your high school experience. Research clearly shows that students who are involved at school perform better and enjoy their time in high school far more than those who do not.
Involvement at Capo is not limited to just students, parent involvement is equally as important. Together, we can help your student have a great experience. People often think that we do not want or need parental involvement in the same way as elementary or middle schools. We absolutely need and want parents involved at Capo. We have a few ways parents can get involved at Capo:
PTSA – The Capistrano Valley High School PTSA sponsors scholarships, teacher grants, staff appreciation and other activities that benefit all our students. PTSA also helps scheduled parent volunteers for our events. They have monthly meetings that are open to all parents.
CVHS Foundation – The mission of the foundation is to enhance the educational experience of all CVHS students. They do this through advocacy, fundraising for large projects, teacher grants, and scholarships. They have been instrumental in fundraising for large projects including the performing arts center and our library renovation.
We communicate school news and information in multiple different ways to try and ensure it reaches as many parents, students, and our school community as possible. This includes a weekly guidance newsletter and a weekly school calendar. In addition, I encourage you to follow our primary social media accounts including:

This is your school and there is no voice that is more important than students on this campus. Students are the most important part of our school community. My door is always open, if you ever have an idea, thoughts, or feedback please don’t hesitate to let me know. I encourage you to join the Principals Student Advisory Council as well, I meet with students monthly to get ideas. Input, feedback, and most importantly listen and learn from you.
