School Counselor - for schedules, college planning, class questions/concerns and social and emotional support. 
 
Guidance Office - for student enrollment, records, trouble with transcript ordering, password resets, portal support and basic tech support questions.
 
Activities Office - for school related activities such as dances, clubs, school activity contracts, guest contracts, class packages, and graduation information. 
 
Attendance Office - for all day absences, leaving early, arriving late, forgotten locker combinations and Independent Study Contracts. 
 
Student Services Office - for all parking permit information/questions and general Assistant Principal support.
 
Athletics - for summer camp and tryout information you will reach out to the sport specific coach.  The coaches' contact list is linked to the right on this page.

Fall 2025 Registration for all incoming 9th Grade students from our feeder middle schools starts January 31st, 2025.  Information will be provided to all students attending CVHS feeder middle schools or can be accessed on this page. The window for registration will be open until February 28th, 2025.  Students will need to access their Aeries student portal, to add elective classes.

ATMS

Academy of Technology, Math and Science (ATMS)

This accelerated program is designed for those students who have demonstrated exceptional ability and interest in the areas of mathematics, science and/or technology. Students must have completed Geometry prior to the 9th grade and meet the criteria to be enrolled in Honors English I, Honors Algebra II/Trig and Honors Biology. AVID

Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID)

This nationally recognized program is designed to help bright, motivated students in their completion of college prep coursework while in high school, and to prepare these students to apply for 4 year colleges or universities directly from high school. AVID is a four-year elective class for students with academic potential. Application and interview required.  Click here for more information.

STEM Engineering

STEM Engineering

Our engineering program is a career academy that addresses relevant, real-world problems from the framework of science, engineering, design and technology (STEM). Activity and project-based curriculum 4 year program; enrollment in 9th grade year is essential. There is no math or science prerequisite – anyone may enroll.  Click here for more information.

Language Immersion

Language Immersion Program

At Capistrano Valley High School, we offer two different Language Immersion Programs, Spanish and Mandarin.  Students in these programs continue to increase the language proficiency that they have been developing since kindergarten. Students have the opportunity to take classes in the language of their respective program through all four years of high school.

NEW STUDENTS TO CUSD WITHIN CUSD BOUNDARIES: ONLINE ENROLLMENT
 
CUSD's Online New Student Enrollment allows you to begin the enrollment process for students who live within the district boundaries.  You must have a valid address in the cities served by Capistrano Unified to use this system.
 
Please note that enrollment is not complete until the Online enrollment information has been reviewed by the school. Additional school forms will be needed to be completed and the proof of residency must be verified. The school site will deem the entire enrollment process to be complete and acceptable after you meet in person with the Registrar.

Summer Session: June 16–July 16, 
Mondays-Wednesday 8:30am–1:30pm
  1. In-Person Exam Testing Required
  2. Mandatory orientation assignment completed by June 30
  3. All work completed by July 16 at noon
  4. Drop deadline is NO LATER THAN July 1st.

Current CUSD  8th graders will enroll in summer school through their current Middle School counselor. Courses available to incoming 9th graders
  • Health 
  • Geometry if students have completed Algebra 1 and are ready to advance to Honors Algebra II/Trig as a Freshman for the ATMS program.

NEW TO CUSD
Students who are not yet enrolled in CUSD will have to complete the CUSD Online Enrollement process and receive a student ID number before they can be registered for summer school. Once you have a CUSD ID # you can email your high school counselor to register you for a summer school class.
